Orange Shirt Day and Gentle Hands

Orange Shirt Day- AM kindergarten class

Thank you to everyone who participated for Orange Shirt Day! Check out our awesome class picture below :)
Today students brainstorm different ways to use their hands gently, ex. wave to a friend, share, give a high-five, throw or catch a ball, pick up toys at clean up time, etc.  We compared how 'Not to use our hands vs. gentle hands' by reading the book "No David"- David Shannon.
Next, students traced their hands and told the teacher the best way they can use a gentle hand.

Terry Fox Run

Terry Fox Run - Afternoon Kindergarten class
The afternoon Kindergarten class participated in our school's annual Terry Fox Run on Friday!
The students braved the cool temperatures and had fun participating in their first school assembly in the gym and running on the field.
As the weather continues to turn colder please continue to work with your children on learning to dress themselves in jackets, using zippers and putting on/taking off shoes and boots.

Thank you families for meeting with us during Student Learning Conferences.
It was so nice to have some time to discuss your child's learning and get to know your child better!

Sincerely,
Ms. Kahlon and Mrs. Sanderson
